This activity is designed to contribute to the continual learning
curve essential to supporting and driving long-term nursing
advances in the field of palliative care.
Desired Learning Outcomes:
- After attending this program the learners will be able to
describe the fundamentals of radiation therapy and identify
expected side effects of radiation therapy.
- After attending this program the learners will be able to
identify situations where palliative radiation may be
effective for symptom management in patients with end
stage disease processes/hospice patients.
